i have my apple back! yay! im so very happy. and it cost *jack* :) hmmm....am i lucky or just really lucky? my room is so much more brighter with my powerbook sitting on my desk! so, my exams ended on the 14th and therefore christina has been celebrating since then! yes, i am still in cape town...finding it rather hard to leave actually. but it must be done! flying to nairobi this sunday, for a very very long holiday of a little more than 2 months! don't worry, this kenyan doll will keep herself busy. my darling mother and i are going to dar on the 1st of dec for the REDDS fashion show finale. that should be fab! then siri will be in nairobi and i cannot wait to give her the biggest hug ever. then on the 8th, its my birthday. yup! keep four things in mind...
1) christina
2) 19th birthday
3) friday night
4) in nairobi
that pretty much sums it up.

my brother and i are going to mombasa on the 11th of dec because he is playing a golf tourney. so for a couple of days i will be a chaperone to my brother and his little golfing buddies...
and then christina is going to outdo herself in terms of being an awesome person! cant say anything right now...but all will be revealed soon!
and then its new years in coast! how fantastic!

by the way - amongst all this excitement christina will get her putting stroke back and kick some serious ass on those golf courses...

before i forget - it was thanksgiving at the house of love last night. lindsey cooked this FANTASTIC meal. it was really really lovely! check it out!
right now its party time in cape town. dj, lindsey and i are going to tear this place apart. cheers!

oh, and on a final note....let me just mention what a DON alan jacobs is. he is the best thing since sliced bread. i have no words to explain the magnitude of how powerful this MAN is. ah yes... mwa mwa...thats me kissing his feet.

no title, nothing, nada, ingenting

so, two more exams left...art history tomorrow and social anthropology on tuesday. and by 8 pm on tuesday there will be no more studying till february. pretty schweet right? but at the moment, its learning about performance art and the issues of queerness and identity that two south african artists, nicholas hlobo and steven cohen address. rather interesting stuff actually.


on friday night, the entire house went to a party and christina stayed home like a loser becase she had to work (yes, i did get a lot of work done!) so it wasn't a complete waste of a friday night. of course the party people would question me on that statement! saturday - oh dear - saturday. i tried to learn, i really did, but for some strange reason i could not concentrate for more than an hour yesterday! it was quite a joke. i tried to learn my art but it just didnt happen! so, yesterday consisted of me pretending to study, watching the rugby, sleeping, going for a walk and eating mcdonalds (i know, SHOCKING!) the entire house had a lovely dinner last night, everyone cooked something, it was wonderful. camilla, britt and i had a photoshoot! pure boredom, procrastination, vanity, silliness or fun! call it what you want! i'd like to think it was a bit of everything :)

this morning, camilla, britt, julia and i went to church at st. georges cathedral. that was so nice. we then had coffee at a very cool place called Sundance, britt and i went to greenpoint where britt bought lots of awesome stuff for her friends and family in norway, we THEN walked to the waterfront, where i went into the apple store to find out about my beautiful powerbook which doesn't want to work at the moment, i think its a little sick, i also think its too tired of christina over-working it...and now i dont wanna talk about it anymore. its too depressing.

siri is definitely coming to kenya! yay! how exciting. um, ok, my head keeps turning to look at my art notes so i better get back to the studying...awesome...! can you hear the excitement in my voice

the weekend!

due to technical errors this blog was supposed to be 'published' some time during the weekend but it just didn't happen! oh well.....you have two new entries to read! lucky you.

having a great weekend so far! the weather has been fab.

i got home from varsity very irritated on friday because our film screening was cancelled and nuraan and i sat on jammie steps for hours waiting for our 2 o clock screening which never happened! then greg came over and he practically forced me to go to camps bay with him to meet up with the swiss boys....! but i dont regret it cos it was awesome! we went to la mad after that and had drinks while we watched the sunset! on saturday camilla, britt and i went to a beach somewhere near gordon's bay. it was beautiful and i got a little bit of a tan. yay. and we took photos! as you can see...

i spoke to lollzy (one of my best friends) on the phone which has put me in a great mood!

on sunday nuraan, dj and i went to cavendish to watch 'devil wears prada'. wat a chick flick! :) shoes, bags, clothes.....**sigh**

yes, i still have exams. but right now im feeling ok about them. which is strange. normally i would be stressing but im ok! i think its all the andrea bochelli music iv been listening to.
oi...don't hate! he's a legend!
