getting high on coke?

ok...so its thursday night and britt and i have an anthropology test tomorrow. at 8 in the morning. and yes sheryl, i do go to ALL my 8 o clock classes. its beautiful. slightly moving off topic but il get back to it now now :) last semester i had this big problem with getting up to get to class before 8. it was purely psychological. i think. i was so jealous that sheryl got to drop her 8 o clock english class and siri had like four politics classes a week and i was the ONLY one who had to wake up at half six. im over that now.

getting back on the bus...so the three of us are sitting in camilla's room (previously owned by sammy) :) milla is reading something for her history paper and it looks like she's being productive with her time, i am sitting on the floor gradually soaking up the beautiful anthropological notes that are just oozing off the pages next to me. and britt...hmmm...dear britt...is high on chocolate and coca cola. or COKE haha...see the link with the title?? see it? yea, i thought of that myself...pretty awesome huh? ok, il just stop right there.
she has actually not begun studying for our test tonight because she is still writing her social work paper thats due tomorrow. i think britt and i might just pull an all nighter here...and trust me, thats the last thing we wanna do cos we are just so tired!

anyway...

so, if you have managed to read this entire post, i commend you. just because all you people out there that do know me from a bar of soap will know that when im stressed i get like this...start talking about absolutely nothing and rant on and on.

oh, i do actually have something exciting to share with you all. its our vacation next friday and im going to MOZAMBIQUE....it will be absolutely fabulous and il take lots of pics as well as have some great stories to tell! :)

back to studying...

bring it on

yes. the week has started and iv decided that there is no point in being negative about it. i look on my calendar to see what i have due in this week and its not so hectic. suprised? yea...me too. although i do have a social anthropology test on friday which i really need to learn for. oh, and a sociology assignment due, but apart form that im all smiles.

got a squash match tonight. i dont even know who we are playing against but we gonna kick some UCT ass. yup yup.

about the weekend, lindsey and i went 'bar hopping' in obs :) it was very cool and we got home at a reasonable time! saturday i pretty much did my reading for this week. i was so stressed last week and i think its because i did absolutely no work the previous weekend. dont want the walls to close in on me now do we? about that - im sorry about the previous post, i really am relatively normal, so no need to be freaked out - sat night was fabulous. it was DJ's 21st at rhodes house. theme was glitz an glam so everyone had to go all out basically. it was the best night out iv had in a while. chad had a bit too much to drink...which was hilarious...but he had 3 of us girls looking after him so he was sorted. he is not gonna live that down. haha. sunday was chilling day...camilla, britt and i went to the arnold house to lie by the pool in our bikini's. the weather was beautiful so we couldnt waste it! i think im browner :) yea yea i know...wishing! last night rob, helge and i went to SUSHI ZONE...we ate something ridiculous like 50 pieces of sushi. that was excellent.

im gonna go cook breakfast now...um...cook? cough cough

procrastination at its best

been sitting here, with my baby on my lap, trying to write this sociology paper on affirmative action. and yes, you guessed it…its not going anywhere. I have this really strange issue…yes…you guessed it…I will tell you about it.
when im pressed for time or more specifically, when i have to write an essay and am 100% sure that i wont make the deadline… i feel like im being suffocated. like the walls are closing in on me.
that’s probably why im sitting in the lounge upstairs, and not in my room. ah ha…I knew everything happens for a reason

moving on...oh yes...the walls... so, once i experience this feeling the only way i can actually ESCAPE is by letting out this humongous groan or scream and then i feel much better. until of course i stare at my screen for a while and realise that what im writing is complete and utter bollocks. the walls jus keep on comin closer and closer.

wow. im one crazy little person.
lindsey and i went to diva for dinner last night. i had an awesome salad…yes…i eat salad. then stones was calling from up above so we went upstairs played loads of pool games and that’s all you need to know.

the weekend!

the weekend was pretty awesome! friday night, yashar, britt, milla an i went out to Pancho's for dinner. The food was great...a bit 2 much but anyhoo...was my little snack on saturday afti :) had frozen margarita's as well

then we went to srumpy's... of course... and craig hadnt slept for 2 days but had enough energy to smile for me! he is so great!

oh..and for the first time this year..i was the last 1 outta scrumpy's at about half 2! cha-ching

last night all of us went to a party in a township. I didnt know what to expect as we got there but i had such a great time, and could tell everyone did as well. it was excellent. saw the most amazing little girl who was only three years old and moved better than me! i was too impressed!


today i watched the cricket! KENYA vs bangladesh. that was cool, but we lost! got pretty close towards the end though. there is some crazy talent in that team of ours! mish u legend. um yea... not much to say so you can just look at the pics. until next time!

back in ct

of course..being back in cape town has lead me far away from my beloved computer and thats my reason for not writing in my beautiful blog! yea we all know how pretty it is. so, iv met my new housemates...great crowd. there are some very cool people and i look forward to hanging out with them some more! some of us have already had our 'bonding' ritual, involving us jumping on top of one another. lets just say the picture says it all.

anyway...about a week ago my family came down for a little holiday. it was nice having them here. on the weekend we went to stellenbosch, onto the wine route which was awesome. we were very lucky with the weather. it was beautiful. one of the vineyards we went to was the ernie els vineyard. stunning setting...my brother and i could have probably sat on those chairs all day.
what i really loved was the golf ball in the centre of the patch of grass in front of us. that was just great!

so not only did we taste wine on its own but we also had chocolate to go wth our wine! that was at a very gorgeous place called Waterford. that was quite an experience. one which i thoroughly enjoyed. such a breathtaking place.
